I read about this place online, and being a Star Trek fan, I had to stop since I was driving right past Riverside. Some time ago, someone in Riverside got Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek's creator who had for a long time said that James T....More

This is a must if you are a Star Trek Fans! The museum is awesome and very informative! The Future Birthplace marker is behind a yellow house on the main street. Best of all the museum and marker have free admission!

If you're not a Trekkie, I wouldn't advise you to go, but if you are, it's Heaven. Plenty of opportunities for photos and a free museum, which is an excellent place to buy souvenirs too. Trek fest is near the end of June.

Someone just put a big memorial in their backyard! :) You have to search for it because it's not well marked.

What an absurd but kind of genius tourist trap. Can't help but love the audacity of it though! Located behind a beauty salon in a surprisingly pretty and peaceful little grove You should leave a donation, they deserve it!

Yes, it's a bit of a joke, but it was a fun thing to do. Afterall, it's hard to be serious about something that hasn't happened yet. In any case, a cool little stop for Trek fans.

As a town it's super small, and the actual "birthplace" is just a sign by the barbershop but it's still pretty great. I'd recommend checking out the history museum!

Quaint little town put on the map because of Star Trek. Monument, museum/store, and local bar with a plaque. Go!
