Full of Sabah Specialties of Fruits
Apr 2020
Most are fruit stalls and some are selling Sabah special fruits - Tarap and Sabah Avocado. Got to try Tarap (a nangka & durian) lookalike fruit from there.
A few vegetables stalls located behind the shop lots where we got our ingredients for our steamboat in our homestay.

Local produces and products
Mar 2020 • Friends
Typical roadside stalls selling local
produces, fruits, snacks, food and drinks. There are also some handicrafts to choose from. No need to bargain but do select the stuff yourselves. If you leave it to them, they may just give you all fresh and not so fresh products together. Take your pick and support the local vendors.

Similar to Nabalu market
Mar 2020 • Couples
Lots of stalls all selling the same produce at exactly the same price. No bargaining. Mostly fruit and snacks. Near the two cabbage roundabouts.

All same

There are many stalls here and all are selling the same thing. Fresh local produce. Not sure how they compete with each other. Good experience.

Lovely fruit, too much plastic used
Oct 2019 • Couples
Pros:-
1. Good local fruit available cheap.
2. Nice stroll around the open market.

Cons:-
1. Clearly catered for tourists. Prices vary depending on if you are local or a foreigner.
2. A lot of cling wrap used for the packing of vegetables. Plastic given with every purchase.

Overall:-
An okay stop - good to get local fruit. Nothing to shout about.

Bountiful Local Market
Sep 2019
This thriving local market was a great stopping spot to stock on lots of different local produce, particularly the wide variety of fruit. Its colourful and the stall holders are very generous with their samples. Lots of gift ideas to take home. Interesting, friendly and great value. Well worth a visit.
