Many types of trails, through parks downtown, by the river, around Lakes, close to restaurants. Can make a whole day of biking .There are plenty of maps paosted to help navigate your way around if you are not familiar with the trail system. Also other bicyclists would be more than willing to help. Family friendly, many playgrounds.

New rider last year, love to ride the trails, very scenic and a great place to get away and enjoy what mother nature has to offer, looking forward to scheduled improvements, in up coming months.

The Cedar Valley Nature trail extends from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids, with many interconnecting trails that you can switch to. 35 miles of the trail going south from Waterloo is paved with little incline. This is a "rails to trails" project so don't expect any hills. Most of the way from LaPorte City to Cedar Rapids is pea gravel so... More

If looking for nature or great trails for biking, you can find it here. The trails go on forever and are all paved until you get out of Black Hawk County

The trail is wonderful in every season, in the winter, cross country skiing and snowshoes allow one to track deer, fox, and rabbits. Spring brings a carpet of flowers. Summer and fall belong to the trees. Be sure to wear your Deet and sunscreen.

Most of the trails in the area are quite flat and well maintained so they are usable for all ages and fitness levels. There are some beautiful locations to stop along the trail for a rest or picnic and also lots of benches just to sit and relax in the shade on hot summer days. Definitely a favorite pastime for... Wonderful place to cycle away from the chaotic city life. You can filed miles long track that take you from farm fields to pleasant outskirt area. The part at Brandon was really the highlight of the trail!
