A serene place to visit

Walking or riding a bike on the nature trail is splendid. The trails are clean and well marked. The trails go on and on.

Stopped by here to hike after the recent flooding. The ground was a bit saturated still, but I was still able to see a great amount of diversity in birds, and specifically waterfowl everywhere.

We have walked the Cedar Valley Nature trail from Waterloo to Marion and it is just beautiful. There are some benches tucked along the trail now and then, but not at any predictable spacing. There are only a few places to park if you don't start in Cedar Falls, Brandon, Center Point, or Marion, but there are many "field accesses"... More

This is one of the most excellent biking/hiking trail systems in the state of Iowa. The trails connect the cities of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Evansdale then you can go on to Cedar Rapids off of the trail in southeastern Waterloo. All paved and its open to cross-country skiing when snow cover is present. This trail goes through Geo Wyth State... More

The trail is very nice with great variety of plants and trees. The trail is in good condition and evidently well maintained.

Many types of trails, through parks downtown, by the river, around Lakes, close to restaurants. Can make a whole day of biking .There are plenty of maps paosted to help navigate your way around if you are not familiar with the trail system. Also other bicyclists would be more than willing to help. Family friendly, many playgrounds.

New rider last year, love to ride the trails, very scenic and a great place to get away and enjoy what mother nature has to offer, looking forward to scheduled improvements, in up coming months.

The Cedar Valley Nature trail extends from Waterloo to Cedar Rapids, with many interconnecting trails that you can switch to. 35 miles of the trail going south from Waterloo is paved with little incline. This is a "rails to trails" project so don't expect any hills. Most of the way from LaPorte City to Cedar Rapids is pea gravel so... More
