The trek to Cuidad Perdida was awesome. That said- it was NOT easy. I went with a group of my friends and we are pretty avid hikers from Colorado, and this trek really pushed us. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is unwilling to hike for 6 or 7 hours of rigorous hills. The company Expotur was amazing and... More

We really enjoyed the 4-day hiking trek to the lost city. The scenery is great, the Expotur guides took great care of us, and we had great conversations with an international group of people. The trek takes you through a few small indigenous villages and the guides explained us the life and traditions of the indigenous people. They were also... More

I went on the 4-day trek with Expotur and I am extremely happy of my choice. They did a great job taking care of us. Having said that, the trek is amazing, but it's also very physically and mentally challenging and we arrived exhausted at its end. Make sure you are prepare for it if you want to do it.... More

Jhon, our trek guide was THE BEST. Expotur is just awesome since they send both an English and a Spanish speaking guides. They work with the local indigenous Wiwa tribes to make our trek extremely informative and be respective of the culture, customs and about understanding the Wiwa people whose land we invade during the trek.

5 day hike to "the lost city"! Challenging but super worth it! Thanks to our great group who stayed together in mud and in sun! Special thanks to our passionate guide John Jairo and translator / guide Branky who went the extra mile for us. Together they made a great team and I believe their passion for nature, culture and... Expotur 4-day trek, december 2016. My positive points are: The landscape is amazing, the group was great, Jhon is a caring (local) guide who knows how to handle. He was nice and made the necessary arrangements for me when I was ill. Top guide, I felt safe. The tour is an adventure with rivers, bridges, climbs and beautiful viewpoints. Only... More

I would absolutely recommend the Cuidad Perdida hike with Expotur. It was an incredible 4-day experience thanks to our guide Antonio and translator Matias. Expotur seemed to be the only tour group with a translator and if you don't speak Spanish you will want the translator. Learning about the indigenous cultures and history of the area were definite highlights and... More

Life changing trek inspired by the Kogi people and the mountains. I did this very difficult trek (for me) with my adult daughter which made it all the more meaningful. Our team, Ismael (lead) Mari (translator)and Jose Luis (cook) were first rate and made sure we were all informed, safe and well nourished! Always encouraging and supportive. I would highly... More
