The town has a population of 11... and yet here we find a bit of Australian history along the side of the road. I really loved that on my trip to the Outback that I found hidden treasures like this along the way. The station...More

So glad we stopped here. Very interesting to read about the telegraph line and a bit about the lives of those who lived here. Although the building is empty, it was still fascinating to spend 20 minutes or so walking around while taking a break...More

The hour we spend looking over the telegraph station was very interesting to say the least. The fact this station was the pivotal communication centre for the outback of our country for so long, was amazing.

So much history around this place. The overland telegraph line connecting Australia to England ran through hear in 1872. The buildings are still in good condition and great to see how much effort went into building these places many years ago. Some great photo opportunities.
