Building beautiful - reservation needed to visit.

We did not get to visit because we didn't let me know ahead so weren't able to go inside. The building is beautiful and the largest building in this small town. Next time....

The motherhouse is rich in historical architecture and church history. It is a spiritual place and home of religious women who have touched many people's lives in a positive way. The motherhouse represents the significant role religious women contributed to the Roman Catholic Church and the development of rural America. A visit to the motherhouse is worth the time for... This convent was built in 1902. Tours are available. There are many stained glass windows. The round rose window is a rare beauty. It is interesting to hear the nuns story, how at one time they had a college and presently are able to maintain the facility by being actively involved in the community.

We had to drive by after learning in the Orphan Train Museum that several orphans dedicated themselves to service and spend their lives in this convent.

We didn't request the tour although they say it's possible. Would have liked to see the inside and hear more of their history. Stands high above the city of Concordia.

On my long drive between Texas and Wyoming I always find one new place to stop and take a break each day. One year I stopped here and it was worth it. After some poking around the perimiter I found a door that led into the building. One of the sisters came around and opened the church for me and... More
