Part of the Trolley Tour we took. Expected more, Sam (13) and Dad were disappointed. Maybe it would be better driving there and walking the grounds.

This just made my heart happy...homes for retired veterans. The only complaint I have is that so many of the homes really need repair and upgrading but I love that they are helping veterans.

There is really not much to look at. A lot of old buildings with not much excitement to them. Take a look if you want.

Fort Dodge Veterans Home was starting place for The American Legion Legacy Ride. It is also a neat area to see all the stone buildings. Visit a veteran at the soldiers home.

We took the trolly to Fort Dodge and leaned about the history. We did not get out to look or see anything, but it was very clean and looked interesting. The trolly tour there was great.

Pleasant and informative museum, a lot of fun and a great display of an old West cavalry fort. Much history in the area, and this is well worth a stop.

I found this fort has not preserved it's history as much as I'd like to see. It is like a small town and almost everything is modern. I was not impressed with the visit.

Great reuse of an old fort as a rest home for veterans. The buildings and layout of the old fort have been well preserved.

Visitors can take self-guided tours of the grounds during daylight hours. A small museum located in the library is open every day from 1 to 4.
