Turned 23 in September, all I wanted to do was have fun instead of family reunions so I went to the museum, acted like a kid, took selfies with the dinosaurs and got stared at by some really judgmental children when i crawled in the archaeology pit to take another selfie...I guess 23 year olds cant hang with the club... I was greatly surprised at how well done this small museum is. It has a wonderful dinosaur diorama that even has a T-Rex that roars! A special exhibit on rattler snakes found mostly napping snakes curled up against the windows. Definitely worth seeing!

Fascinating museum about marine dinosaurs that inhabited a great inland sea millions of years ago in the mid section of America. Yes, Kansas was once undersea during the age of dinosaurs, and there has been a lot of fossil evidence discovered. Beautiful facility, which is very geared for kids, as well as adults. A wonderful stopping point along Interstate 70... More

Haven't been here in 20. The place has changed and really improved. Lots of hands on stuff for kids and lots of fossils. They have traveling exhibits. Plus you have tinder the fish with in a fish fossil

We took our extended family (grandmother, mother, siblings & their children) here with us on our first experience. It was great for all ages. There was wheelchair access for the elderly, play places for the kids, & lots of great exhibits for all to enjoy! They bring in specialty exhibits in additional to the regular museum displays. We will plan... More

This has got it all from snakes to teeth found all over western Kansas. Something too see. Even a gift shop. Something for everyone.

This museum is filled with interesting facts about dinosaurs. On one floor they have dinosaurs that have motion sensors & will start moving when you walk up (which might scare small children). There is a kid's museum where kids can have hands on experiences with all kinds of cool things.

This was a great museum if you are interested in fossils and Kansas geology. They also had a rattlesnake exhibit with live rattlers.

Suggested by a professor friend of mine during a half-way stop during a family road trip and we were very pleased! We spent about two hours (no crowds) walking around and looking at the all the exhibits. The most exciting (and surprising) exhibit is the Rattlers, which contained about 20 or so different LIVE rattlesnakes from around the entire US... More

This was really impressive. The museum features tons of animal and plant fossils. Includes a life size display of Dinosaurs from the ocean to land that you walk through. The T-rex even moves which we found fun and my 5 yo loved. There is a live rattle snake exhibit displaying all the different rattlesnakes in North America. Great to look... More
