Just a neat experience and if you know local history it helps even more. Bit of a windy road to get up to it but well worth it. They are working to keep it preserved better.

I visited the Coronado Heights Castle, unfortunately, being from Houston Texas, I was not aware it was considered a park now. It was late when I visited and there were two police officers turning people away. I went because I understood it was the highest...More

They have restored the castle and bathrooms. It's a great view and offers plenty of opportunities for amazing photos. I would recommend timing your outing to include sunset and don't forget your picnic basket.

I was surprised by this castle. I could imagine it being an actual castle. You walk into the tower to enter and come to the steps up to the second level. The steps are steep and narrow and since I have walking issues I did...More

A very cool castle that has been reinforced recently. A great place to hike, walk, watch the sunrise or watch the sunset. Outdoor grills available for cooking and bathrooms as well. Also a great place to slope soaring and glide RC.

You won't believe that this castle and park exists in countryside Kansas! On the top of the hill in the area of the USA where Coronado explored, this memorial park and castle structures are very interesting and unique. Drive just out of town and find...More

Nice views of Kansas farmland. Worth the drive to see the sunset. Great spot for a picnic. Only 10 minutes from Lindsborg.

Somewhere a little higher than the plains to visit and see a bit of the surrounding vista's. Enjoyable.

Hello. I want to see Coronado Heights Castle but I keep reading that the road up to the site is "really bad." Would someone be kind enough to elaborate on how the road is bad? Unfortunately I don't have access to a truck or jeep, so is it possible to drive a car up to the castle? Does the road have deep ruts in it? Or is it just steep and narrow? Thank you for your time!

We had a small rental car and easily got up to the top with 4 adults in the car. Just go slow and watch for people coming down from above. The castle is neat, and the sunset was wonderful.
