This should have been a top 8 arts winner in the Kansas Wonders project. It is hard to describe or imagine what you will see in the Red Barn Studio. The artistic talent of Lester Raymer is evident throughout, and really just remarkable. This is a must see when one is in Lindsborg. It is well worth the small donation... More

This is a fascinating place to visit, especially if you get a tour from a knowledgable guide. Raymer was a local artist. His art and life are displayed here.

Pretty amazing place, we consider this one of the special treasures of lindsborg. Humble house built by a intrepid, self assured artist, complete with quirky and homey architectural elements really give this location a romantic , bohemian feel. Artist was amazing in his range of materials being used in his artwork. He made a special toy each Christmas for his... More

If you are in Lindsborg or the area, this is a must see. Well worth the jaunt to south Main st. It won't eat up your day so there is no excuse to see this wonderful artists' workshop and home.

Lester Raymer (1907-1991) was an artist and craftsman who worked with paintings, prints, ceramics, woodcarving, stitchery, metals, jewelry and furniture. He was influenced by symbolism and folk art. The Red Barn Studio preserves Lesters work and gives insight into this artist. (A "must see" are the toys he made for wife Ramona every year.)

This is Lester Raymer's studio, pretty much as he left it when he died in 1991. Raymer was the Picasso of the Plains and could turn anything to art, examples of which are all over the studio. Each time I visit, I find something new. If you are in Lindsborg, this is a must see museum. While you're at it... More

The toys he carved each Christmas for his wife are just amazing, and he did practically every form of art except glass blowing. There is a little tour so you get his history. Open afternoons.

I visited the Red Barn Studio, which features the art and life of Lester Raymer, and took the "tour". It's a fascinating journey about the life of this artist and his work. The tour guide was great and the exhibits exceptional. Please go, you will not regret it.

This museum is a hidden gem in Lindsborg, KS. and showcases Lester Raymer's many artistic talents. He was a true Renaissance man considering his painting, sculpture, fabric art and many other art forms.
