The animals are spread out that you get bored in between walking to each. Trash laying around, and akward set up hard to push a stroller or wagon through the paths. Most of the time the animals arent even put or they are asleep.

Despite the fact that they do have a lot of animals, my kids loved the variety of animals. But their favorite part was the play ground.

I expected more from this zoo. It's very tiny, doesn't have many animals. Staff are ok. Make sure you do not show up 2 hours before closing as all the animals are put away. For the price, it's not worth it. Head to Salina.

We love taking our kids here throughout the year and enjoy the clean, well cared for exhibits and get to participate in many of their activities throughout the year, too.

We weren't expecting much from this zoo; however we were pleasantly surprised. The animals were varied, well cared for and the play area great for the children. The only criticism I would have is that the signage could have been better, but at least this got us walking more! We will definitely be returning!

Took my grandson here for a short visit. Animal exhibits exceed my expectations for a small city zoo. Exhibits are set up so an average toddler can see it all in 2-3 hours. There is a nice variety of animals and you are able to get really close to many of them. Recommend you call ahead and ask for the... More

This zoo is only open April-October. This is a nice little zoo, but worth it! Two Tigers, Amur Leopard, Gibbons, Red Panda, Otters, Chimpanzees, Cheetahs, Ect.

We were in Manhattan for a surgery at Kansas State University Veterinary Hospital. Took extra time to tour the city. Found the zoo, but in the middle of November, even with the 70 degree weather it was hard finding animals to watch. Might they have been put into winter quarters?. Did find the best disagreement between emu's. No harm, but... More

When we come "home" for a visit this is a must do on our list. It has changed quite a bit over the past 50 years but their care and dedication to the animals really shows!
