Giraffes, Camels, Zebras, Ostriches, Emus, Kangaroos, Porcupine, Donkeys, Alpacas, Elk, Horses, Yacks, Peacocks, and many more. Most of their exotic animals are bred and born on the farm. Animals are sometimes employed by Rockettes Christmas show, many Nativity Scenes, many State Fairs, some Rodeos, and some Petting Zoos. We learned about this place from talking to another family at the... More

We came for a school field trip. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who took us around to see and pet and feed a variety of animals. They have camels, including the rare white camels, zebras, emu, ostrich, giraffe and much more. Most the animals are very friendly and we were allowed to walk in the pen with the... More

You can take a tour here that lasts an hour or more seeing lots of animals you may not have heard of. Part of the tour is seeing, feeding, and learning about the animals. Feed the giraffes, kangaroos or ride the camel or pony. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. One can also stay here in the bed and... More

The bed and breakfast is wonderful. The balcony surrounds the building and you can view the land full of exotic animals. We watched a turkey chase ostridges baby zebras at play, watch the giraffs. The animals are bottle fed and used to people so you can feed the girraff and kangaroos. The Bed and Breakfast has glass windows where you... More

My niece and her two children age eight and ten stayed for two nights. I travel extensively and don't know that I have been more impressed by a motel. I was a little leery when it was booked because I have seen exotic animal farms before and the animals did not look healthy and the pens dirty. This place was... More

This was our second time there. Make sure you call in advance to book a tour whether you are staying the night or not. They do not accept drive up customers for tours. We stayed in the Savanna room this time and it slept 10 of us. It is ideal for 8 people. The evening and morning tours was great... More

Definitely an interesting place - I mean you're in the middle of Kansas and you can see giraffes and kangaroos up close (and all sorts of other animals, but really - who gets to feed a giraffe and kangaroo by hand?) The tour is probably worth it - you get to spend some time with the animals, and you can... More

You can enjoy Hedrick's two ways: Stay overnight in their Bed & Breakfast or book a tour of the property only. A group of us decided to stay the night. I will be honest, I really didn't think this place was going to be very interesting, I assumed they wouldn't have more than a handful of animals and nothing to... More

This is fun for any age. Each room has a different theme and are different sizes etc. Upon arrival we got settled into our rooms and got to go on a hayride. We had snacks in the roomy dining room and got a tour of the S.American animals. We got to feed the animals apples and sweet potatoes. We were... More

Hedrick's is the the perfect little getaway for a short weekend. We stayed at the bed and breakfast which also includes the tour of the farm. We got the camel room and it was very nice! I think it's a cute idea to have animal names for all of their rooms. You can literally pet and touch all of the... More
