A MUST do in Bardstown!

We visited this little winery on April 9, 2017. When we arrived, we noticed it was only fruit wines instead of wines from grapes. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it. That... read more

We visited this little winery on April 9, 2017. When we arrived, we noticed it was only fruit wines instead of wines from grapes. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it. That changed very quickly as we reviewed the wine list and talked with the young lady working at the counter that day. She explained a lot about... More

We visited on 4/1/17. The people were super friendly!! We did a wine tasting and then they gave us a tour of how their wine is made. It's a very tiny place but they have great wine and very nice people. The black wine is very good! The Corn Cob wine is not so good - but that's my personal... More

I recently found this as my route had changed and passed by. It's close to our house so we finally got around to going. It's a small place when you pull up but very cute inside and out. And to my surprise, full of people. We went up to the bar since that's where we're use to doing tastings, but... More

We stopped at McIntyre's Winery after a stop at Maker's Mark on the Bourbon Trail. I love, love stopping at wineries and this one did not disappoint. From the gentlemen who greeted us out on the porch, to the couple visiting also and the server, the experience was very enjoyable and friendly. We were very happy to sit and talk... More

Stopped into this winery while hopping along the bourbon trail. Great place to visit, and a good break from drinking bourbon. Winery grows most of the fruit for their wines and all the processing happens in the office/ fermentation room. Had a great time and recommend it as a good stop.

While visting Bardstown, alot of the local attractions were closed due to it being the dead of winter . My wife and I aren't whiskey drinkers so we weren't interested in the 4 or 5 different distillery tours in town, instead we headed a little ways out of town and went for a wine tasting. Who would have ever thought... More

We had a lovely stop at the winery. We tasted a number of good options and selected a cherry chocolate dessert wine. This is a fun and inexpensive thing to do - $5 for the tasting, which included 6 generous pours as well as the glass to take home as a souvenir. These are sweet wines - you're not in... More

Saturday afternoon and both the wife and I had been busy working and taking care of the weekly chores. We needed to pick up a few things at the store and thought what the heck. Let's go to a winery and see what the buzz is all about. Didn't really know what to expect, it was a nice drive along... More

And by out of your way, I mean really out of your way. The tourist map showed this much closer to Bardstown than it was but it was worth the extra drive including the single lane road at the end. Tommy, the owner and winemaker, is very welcoming and took us right into the back to show us his gardens... More
