Great place to hike. Trails are easily marked, well traveled and it's nearly impossible to get lost. Safe location just out of town. Pets are allowed on leashes, and extra water is recommended. There are outhouses located near the paved parking lot.

We had a couple hours to hike before leaving Berea. We chose to hike to the West Pinnacle. It was an absolute beautiful hike. The view at the top is slightly disappointing as most of the scenery is masked behind trees and rocks. I've been told the East Pinnacle has an amazing, open view. If we go back, that's what... More

This was a nice leisurely hike that we enjoyed very much. The fall colors of leaves seem to be at peak right now. I am not an avid hiker so this was just right for me with distance and not constantly uphill. We hiked to the west pinnacle and look forward to coming back to hike the east pinnacle.

Pretty intense hike (for women over 60) but well worth it with the view,s once you reachthe top! We did 4 miles and were very glad we did!! Main downfall,....very hard to find.....We were staying at Daniel Boone Tavern Hotel, and they explained how to find it (about 2 miles from hotel)

The Pinnacles are owned by the College.....a quick and pretty drive just outside of the campus area. The Kentucky ARtisan Center has trail maps for The Pinnacles. The trails involve a lot of climbing on somewhat calculating paths, rocks, and tree roots. There are benches every now and then to rest. We took the Indian Overlook Trail which went straight... If I were young and fit, I'd rate it higher. I'm a senior and I'm not fit. Wide, well marked main trail. It would be nice if the side trails were marked. The terrain is steep. Coming back down, I actually sat & scooted over a couple places, to prevent falls. Went looking for the sounds & smells of the... More

Beautiful place to hike. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. In the gravel parking lot there are two picnic tables and then a shelter up the trail a little ways with tables. We didn't find any bathrooms. We took the main three trails and it was hard hiking but well worth it for the view,

Great Sunday morning hike in the peace of God's creation. There are no signs marking the start of the trail so it is a bit hard for an out of towner to find but once we did, it was a very nice one hour hike up and back to the West Pinnacle

We hiked up to East Pinnacle, then through Devil's Kitchen and up to Indian Fort Lookout today - great hike, lots of up hill but the views from the rock outcroppings were worth it. Then we took the route to West Pinnacle - after a few wrong turns, we finally found the path down between rocks and out to the... More
