The view was beautiful, but the sand was rocky. If you're not there an hour before sunset, there may not be parking and you may not get to see much. The flag ceremony was nice, but difficult to hear and not always timely from what...More

This is a great place to find keep me diamonds. The shops on the beach have fabulous items and clothing. It's nice to watch the sun go down. The flag ceremony is also very nice. We've been coming to this beach for years.

A visit to Sunset Beach is a must. In the evening, just at sunset, the American Flag of a deceased US Veteran is lowered to taps, followed by God Bless America. The story of the Veteran is read, and I tear up each time. You...More

unfortunately the water is not as clean as it should be. there are some old pipes that can be a serious hazard and no warning signs or any sort of protection.

Cool little beach. Free parking. No swimming so no beach pass needed. Beach is covered with awesome rocks (jewels) for anyone who has young kids - it is a favorite. View of the concrete ship is very cool. Got to see lots of horseshoe crabs...More

We love coming to this beach to look for sea glass, stones, Cape May diamonds, and shells. Nice gift shop, grill restaurant, lots of parking.

You have to hit Sunset Beach for at least one sun set! The playing of a Kate Smith's God Bless America and Taps as they lower the flag and honor an American Veteran is one great feeling. Great time for family and friends along with...More

We visit here every time in Cape May. The views are fantastic and the 2 shops have reasonably priced local beach themed apparel and souvenirs. We will be back next visit.

The beach is great to play on and find Cape May Diamonds, seashells and sea glass but not so much for swimming. No Lifeguards here. There are lifeguards at designated beaches in Cape May and Cape May Point beaches.
