My parents, my children, and I traveled to Kentucky in August 2016 to tour caves at Mammoth Cave National Park. We had a great time, but our favorite tour was actually outside of the National Park at Hidden River Cave (AKA Horse Cave.) The tour was a small group, which really heightened the experience. Our guide Gary was very enthusiastic... More

We moved to Horse Cave, Kentucky a few months ago and I was completely intrigued with a cave along the main street of town. We took our kids/grandkids over the summer for the cave tour/zip line/and rappelling and they all loved it. Everyone was patient and helpful with the kids while they tried rappelling for the first time. The cave... More

Me and my boyfriend took a last minute trip to see Mammoth Cave before college started back up for us. I saw horse cave on a pamphlet that I picked up from the national park and Horse Cave was just down the road from where we were staying... I'm so glad we decided to come! We were very lucky to... I was lucky enough to be a able to schedule an "off the trail" tour of the Hidden River Cave. This three hour tour was reasonably priced and was an experience I will never forget. Our guide, Keith, was personable, knowledgeable, and had our safety and enjoyment as his top priority. It was a true spelunking experience and included views... More

My brother, cousin, and I did the 3 Hour Off Trail Cave Tour and it completely exceeded expectations. True cave/spelunking opportunity for novices and experts. Our guide, David, did an outstanding job. He made sure we knew where to go and told us a lot about the history of the cave as well as the cave environment. We also did... More

Terrific experience and I would highly recommend this if you have ever thought about caving. Gary (our guide) was excellent. I felt very safe the entire 3 hrs. He gave us lots of information about the cave and living organisms in it. Some spots are pretty tight to get through, but most (not all) are optional challenges. Take the challenge... More

Loved my first true caving experience. The 3 hour tour is more like 4 due to set-up and post caving pictures and changing. Awesome employees. Hannah really helped me on the repelling course when I got stuck. So kind and well trained. Gary was an awesome caving guide, made sure everyone was safe, stayed together and taught us things about... More

Tour guide was excellent ! He answered a lot of questions. He took his time to point out the unique aspects along the tour. Would recommend this for families with children over 10.

Had an absolute blast! Our tour guide John was fun and energetic! Explained everything we were looking at very well. Lots of fun jabs to the tourist and about the cave itself. He again helped us out with the zip-line. We highly recommend going here if your in the area. Everyone had the best hospitality. Would go again!

This was the first stop of many on our 3 day trip to the Mammoth Cave area. We were there as soon as the door opened, with 3 kids, and the staff could not have been more friendly. We spent some time in the museum, and then went on a cave tour, which lasted about 45 minutes. The tour guide... More
