The Legacy Trail is a dream come true for Lexington. Since my last review, 2 miles have been added to the North End which, unfortunately, just ends in a field at the Kentucky Horse Park in the middle of nowhere. But, there are plans to...More

Perfect trail for biking. It is mainly flat, so it is an easy ride. It's about 20 miles round trip. It's a scenic route--it goes from urban to horse country. Beautiful!

This is a great feature for a town the size of Lexington, and reasonably accessible once you know the starting point, which was not clear on Google maps and not easy for me to find, leaving from West 6th Brewery by bike. More signage to...More

This is an excellent outing for biking or running or just getting out and exercising... an 18 mile loop around Lexington, smoothly paved... flat to rolling terrain...a moderate high or two, but nothing awful. I am a novice cyclist and managed to do it a...More

I'm an avid cyclist, but don't love riding on the road (I'd much rather listen to music than honking). I utilize the legacy trail almost daily and am so thankful that Lexington invested in it. It's great for cycling, walking, running, rollerblading, etc. It has...More

Great trail for a family bike ride. Even our 6 year old was able to make the ride to Georgetown. Best on a cloudy day as it's a full sun trail in most spots.

I only used it twice, but from my recollection, if you are thinking three abreast, I don't think so. Also, toddlers are short enough you are probably not holding hands. On any bike path, you want to hold a toddler's hand... More
