The zoo is a good size for spending a morning or afternoon. It is clean and tidy. We enjoyed the seals and sea lion talk. They offer a variety of animal talks and provide visitors a list of times and places for the various talks throughout the day.

We are avid supporters of conservation and education, so when in town for work/spring break we made it a point to stop by the zoo. The help at the gate was new and unsure how reciprocity membership worked, but her colleagues helped her out and we saved a bit of money on the way. If wasn't a sunny/warm day, but... More

Louisville zoo is in my opinion too worried about making money. They overcharge for everything. I understand it takes money to run the place, but it never seems worth it. Half of the animals are always put up so kids waste time looking for them only to be disappointed. I think I will drive to the Cincinnati zoo next time,... More

The day I went in April I didn't see many animals. Was disappointed but I was able to get exercise in for the day.

Quick day trip there. Small crowds due to time of year I suppose. Everything was very nice, but a lot of the warmer climate animal displays were either not open yet, or the animals were staying warm somewhere. Defiantly an all day event.

I visited the Louisville Zoo with my son's, 11 and 8, during their spring break from school. It was ridiculously crowded as expected, but unfortunately there were numerous exhibits closed. I thought it was ridiculous considering this is their busiest time of year.

My family and I went to the Louisville Zoo today but didn't realize there would be an Easter Egg Hunt so there were so many small children. Despite this, we were able to have a great time exploring the zoo. It is very clean and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. I recommend buying your tickets online to avoid standing in... More

Our family went to visit the zoo and were very excited! When we went around to the enclosures we were disappointed with what appears lack of space and roaming area for the animals. The gorillas were our favorite and they were very agitated when we saw them. I am upset how small the giraffe enclosure was as well and how... More

Great Day! I would not spend the extra on the train ride unless you want to rest your legs. Not much to see.

The Zoo at Louisville is a great place to spend all or part of a day. Exhibits are well designed and easy to navigate. Our favorites were the Polar Bear and Grizzlies, along with the Lions. Also has train ride for the Kids.
