I really enjoyed this zoo, as it had many of the animals you would expect, and plenty of shady places to enjoy in the middle of the August heat. Our tickets were 1/2 off for some reason, but are typically $30 + $5 for parking.

The bird show had a Bateluer eagle which is my second favorite eagle behind the Harpy eagle! Really cool seeing mane wolves. The outdoor gorilla exhibit seemed like it was just a large but boring space until I saw a gorilla able to climb a...More

Might not be the biggest or fanciest zoo, but we had a great afternoon at the zoo. We were a group of 11 - 8 adults from mid-twenties to 60+ and 3 kiddos ages 3, 6, and 8. We were surprised how active the animals...More

My husband and I had the chance to take two of our grandsons to the zoo today and the weather was perfect. The 8 and 6 yr olds have been there before and had places they didn't want to miss--the gorilla exhibit with the new...More

This zoo is laid out extremely well making it easy to walk the whole zoo and see all exhibits. Unfortunately, a lower rate is not offered if you go late like some other zoos. They do stay open an hour after closing for those already...More

We only had 2 hours and stayed in the African section. The kids loved every area. The tiger and gorilla's were especially intriguing. The animals had large enclosures and the areas were clean. Viewing positions were plentiful and spread out so that you could get...More

Many great exhibits for the whole family at a very affordable price.. I have been coming here for the last 50 years and the exhibits change several times as new things come in. A must see if you come to our city.

Well, I wish I could be kinder but I think we are just spoiled here in St. Louis because although the Louisville Zoo was fine, it just seemed a little tired compared to the St. Louis Zoo, and well, it also costs money, where the...More

Loved the zoo! The monkeys were our favorite 😊 we were afraid of the heat that we wouldn't be able to see all of the animals, but most of the animals were out and having fun!

If you only have 2 hours - I would suggest a different attraction - the zoo will cost 2 adults about $40-50 entry fee and parking - and it will take you 2 hours just to walk all the trails in the zoo without stopping to look... More
