I don't think I would drive to see this. It is near the mansions. If you are in the area you might drive by, but I certainly would not go out of my way.

Walked by the park on our way to St James, then around the perimeter look at all the old homes. It looked nice, the is a police substation actually in the park. On our way back to our B&B Shakespeare in the park had started. If we had realized that sooner we would have planned to go back and see... More

What a beautiful, quiet park! After we enjoyed a educational and interesting tour through The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, just across the street, then headed to Central Park for a little birding and relaxing (most of the week we've walked or walked and bussed to our destinations). As we learned at "Conrad's Castle", the amazing history of this area included the... More

Unless you are going to see Shakespeare in the Park there is not much to do there. Sure, it's pleasant enough but stroll down to Saint James and view the old Victorian mansions instead. Cherokee Park is bigger and better if you looking for a larger and more beautiful park. The big plus for Central Park is that it has... More

This was a great surprise. There were food trucks, gift area, and a free play. We were able to watch West Side Story. The acting was top notch and it was a wonderful way to spend the evening. Just a note-the bathrooms weren't all that great.

Free productions of Shakespeare plays all summer long for over 50 years. Food trucks supply the eats, and there is a bar should you care to partake. Picnic tables nearby, bring your own food or sample the food trucks. Police substation on site. Safe, family friendly, and free! Great event.

In the summer every night they do free outdoor theatre of different Shakespeare plays. We saw Romeo and Juliet. It was OK, acting a little amateurish, but I love organizations that support and promote the arts so I whole-heartedly endorse going to see the play in the park (plus it is free). Go support Shakespeare in the Park.

This park was designed by the same person that did Central Park in New York City. Lots of grass and trees.

This one block square park in Old Louisville is a multi purpose site. It is a quiet place to walk, sit and read a book, and just enjoy the mature trees. In the summer it has a water feature that lets the kids run and cool off. It houses a police substation for the neighborhood. It is the home of... More

It was a nice piece of flat land. Nothing was going on the day we were there. There did seem to be an ampitheatre/benches & stage. This is right across the street from the Conrad Caldwell House. It would be a nice place to walk.
