Went here to see a wonderful painting by local artist David Schuster. Glad I took the time to see this amazing museum dedicated to the life, work, and spiritual journey of one of our greatest local heroes. The documentary of the rumble in the jungle alone is worth the price of admission.Lots to see here, I could see where a half a day... We spent about 90 minutes in the Ali Museum, and did not cover it all. But the exhibits are long on timeline-type displays, and videos (somewhat disjointed). Be sure to see the introductory video on 5th Floor, and work your way down from there.

Those of us who live in the area can get in for $7 during the month of May-a bargain. Although I was attending his memorial service outside the center last year and actually bought $84 worth of "Louisville Lip Balm" several months ago for my wife to take to her national meeting I have never really visited The Ali Center... The museum is very well maintained. The tour starts off on the 5th floor and you walk your way down to the lobby exploring the timeline and exhibits at every level. It starts of with a 10 minute documentary. It is an excellent way to learn about the world's greatest boxer ever. The exhibits give us an insight of his... More

Nice museum. Lots of good exhibits honoring the life and times and contributions Ali made to our society. We enjoyed our visit alot. The museum will probably take most people 2 hours to visit on average. Its nicely laid out, and is very visual and audio interactive.

Fun interactive displays and a chance to sit down and watch his fights (with some editing). My parents both commented on how they learned a whole different side to the man from what the media portrayed while they were growing up. It was very insightful.

The Muhammad Ali Center in downtown Louisville is a MUST see in my opinion. Very reasonable admission price for a GREAT Museum that is not only about Ali's boxing career. Allow at least 2 - 2.5 hours to take your time as there are 5 floors to check out. Along with Ali's boxing career you get a glimpse into his... More

When in Louisville, the Muhammad Ali Center is a must visit. The center has ample surrounding parking garages, and is a great rainy day activity. A very adequate visit requires approximately 60-90 minutes. Love him or not, in his day, Muhammad Ali (before the internet era) was the #1 most widely recognized person in the world. This museum is great... More

Loved all the prize fighting aspects, and the ability to call up his old fights to watch again. I really respected him as a fighter. I can see the debate as to his characterization as a magnanimous hero, but the other side as a draft dodger and racist. This center's displays, I think, helps people to decide for themselves how...
