I was walking about here when I was looking for something to do before my time at the Louisville Slugger tour was going to start and had a nice walk around Main Street and saw some of the plaques of old baseball sluggers and street art of 21C hotel and museum. A few good restaurants and some nice museums too.... More

Louisville has made a very nice effort to preserve their historic storefronts on West Main St., although most of the buildings are still vacant and some are just facades with literally nothing behind them. Lots of construction and remodeling going on but that is behind the front. "Museum Row" is fun to visit--Frazier History Museum, Louisville Slugger museum and experience,... More

We had no idea that this district had anything to offer until we went to the Slugger Museum. Leaving there, we started walking up the street and wow! This district offers one of only two historical districts in the US with the most numbers of iron-fronted facades on their storefronts. The details of columns, capitals, frames and more are intricate... More

A Nice part of town that we strolled through on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. A lot of different attractions from Museums, Breweries, Distilleries, Restaurants & quirky street furniture ! Loved the Baseball walk of fame , pity there wasn't a few more ? Lot of redevelopment going on , hope the Old survives in some form ???

This may be nice in a few years after they finish the renovations. Right now there isn't much to see.

There are a lot of really nice things to see and do here. Good restaurants. Worth the visit. When I was there a lot of construction was going on around that took away a little...but it will be even better when done.

In the general area and did a lot of walking and sightseeing. From Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse, Evan Williams Experience, Louisvuille Slugger Museum, Lunch at Troll Pub Under the Bridge, Dinner at BBC (Bluegrass Brewing Co). Lots of interesting architecutre and photo ops - but also some areas of construction and pedestrian detours.

We had some time during the day on a Sunday visit to explore, and we took a Uber from the airport area for about $12. We had the driver drop us off at the Great Lawn, but I wouldn't recommend that. It was trashed from the previous night with litter, towels, blankets, and still had a few rowdy young adults... More

This is a MUST SEE if you visit or live in Louisville. The old buildings are beautiful and a reminder of how things were in our hay day.
