We were planning to celebrate my son-in-law birthday by taking a dinner cruise on Belle of Louisville. We paid extra for having a table near the window. It was 97 F outside. The windows were left bare with no curtains and the sun was blinding...More

We rode on the Spirit of Jefferson for a dinner cruise and enjoyed it. Not a whole lot of narration like on the Belle, but that was OK. Dinner itself was pretty good. It included a salad, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, chocolate cake...More

We visited Louisville in June for our anniversary and wanted to do something different than just going out to dinner to celebrate. So before we went I searched online for things to do in Louisville and found a brunch cruise on the Belle of Louisville...More

We opted for the Harbor History Tour, so I guess we should have expected lots of narration. Most was about the other boats (towboats) on the river. Not much about the buildings in Louisville.

This boat tour of the LOUISVILLE River/area was great. The weather was perfect. Since it was a business event we had music on board, thank goodness, that carnival music is annoying to say the least. Loved going under the bridges. Fun night, glad I did...More

we are glad you enjoyed the cruise. The calliope music the carnival music played at boarding was how they used to announce when they were coming in town in the old days. Some people love it some don't.

We did this six years ago and had good memories. Unfortunately, this time it was a huge disappointment. Instead of cruising the river, the Belle of Louisville simply made a few short loops. The fireworks were delayed, as they had to coordinate with the baseball...More

I expected to have some information shared on the cruise. It was very difficult to hear what the speaker said. In addition, he was primarily wishing people happy birthday. The boat was situated with the front directly facing the fireworks, therefore, it was impossible for...More

We went on the Spirit of Jefferson river boat for the 12 noon cruise as sightseers, i.e. we didn't have lunch. The facilities on board were good - seating outside in the sun or shade plus indoor seating with a/c. There was also a full...More

These boats, along with their new counterpart, are a fun way to enjoy some time on the river on a historic paddleboat with a meal. Some reviewers complain about the food, but the meal is standard catered food prepared en-masse for the group. If you...More
