Pontoon boat tour not high energy like air boats but much less expensive. Lots of alligators, raccoons and turtles. Knowledgeable guide with lots of stories. Surprised at how comfortable the air is on the swamp and no mosquitos!!

Our guide Allen was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, interesting and funny. His love for the nature & wildlife of the swamp was obvious. Fascinating and educational. A must see tour when you come to New Orleans.

The cruise through the swamp would probably still be nice for the flora & fauna but you may not see much in the way of alligators only because when it is cold they bury themselves in the mud!
