We celebrated the 90th birthday for a our cousin! We all had a great time. The music was fabulous! It's a great atmosphere for Cajun music and dancing!!! If you're in that neck of the woods do yourself a favor and drop in!!! It's only open on Saturday morning!

What a blast this place is! People from all over the world know Freds. Cindy is our bartender....too cute. Very small dance floor so you make lots of new friends. Pull up a barstool and have a cold Schiltz.

What has happened to Freds? Went there April 1 2017. Fewest people I have ever seen at Freds on a Saturday morning.

Ready for a Saturday morning party? If the answer is yes, then Freds Lounge of Mamou, LA is where you want to be. Wear your dancing shows and be ready to start drinking at 8 AM. You won't be disappointed!

Only open Saturday, 8-12. Music starts about 9 and goes on until 12 or later. No food, just drinks, Bloody Mary;s, Virgin Mary;s and more. It is about 15 min. from Eunice and easy to find, well marked as it is the only place to go in Mamou

We arrived early, just after 8, thinking that's when the music started, but the band started playing at 9. It was a good thing we arrived early, because we had a chance to chat with the friendly people there, including staff and regulars. I had planned to stay only a short while, then pick up some boudin at T-Boy's on... More

We just started going to Fred's Lounge about 4 or 5 years ago and it gets to be more fun every time we go. We go at least once or twice a year with a group of 6 or 8 and have a blast. If you like good Cajun music, cold beer or a good mixed drink and friendly people... More

I have heard of freds but I was a bit concerned it may not be too "family oriented" so I normally listen to the Saturday morning jam at Savoy's in Eunice. This time I tried Freds. It was everything you read in these reviews. The live music is good but it is crowded and difficult for this mobility impaired guy... More
