Great shopping. So friendly store owners. Cane River Candy, Soapery, shopped at an art gallery - co-op, but can not remember name. Bought a painting. Brighton's shop - great owner, who also owns the kayake peddle boat place across the street, chocolate covered strawberries, t-shirts,...More

This is the town and the reason to be in Natchitoches (Nak-a-tish). Great fun for a day. Don't plan on visiting on Sunday. It's shuttered!

Enjoyed browsing stores, most looked very locally owned and run. Shopkeepers were very friendly and helpful. There are a few galleries with interesting local art, several cooking stores and restaurants and bars. Easy walking , street parking. Good for a few hours entertainment

Shopping in the historic district along the banks of the Cane is really nice. Great shops and a real family atmosphere. We highly recommend a trip here.

However the chamber of commerce should work with local retailers and restaurants to encourage Sunday hours. Most businesses and restaurants were...More

There are a bunch of nice shops on Front Street, but not a bunch of antique shops. We did enjoy the Bathhouse, Louisiana Purchase and Cane River Candy Co.

It’s like a tiny, safe, clean, quiet New Orleans French market feel. Just a great little place to stroke through and shop and eat.

Restaurants are open. Such as for brunch. I recommend Mama's. Some of the shops open after lunch time.
