This is a great place to stop if you are visiting Natchitoches in the summer with kids. It is one room, free, and air conditioned. It is a great way to entertain the kids while learning about local fish and the role of the hatchery.

This aquarium is one room and 16 tanks. There is no one there over-seeing it. It's an at- your- own- pace place. It's free to get in and there are bathrooms there. We stopped by the national fish hatchery too, but there was nothing to...More

This attraction is FREE...not many aquariums are free. So definitely a good place to take the kids. My sister goes here all the time. She loves it every time.

I am one of those people that spends my time in front of the Bass Pro Shop fish tank while others shop. I would gladly spend my time observing the mundane habits of the local fishes and reptiles.

We thought we would see more of the facility, but the little visitor area with several aquariums is all that is open. Take a few minutes to look at the fish.

At this time of year we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed seeing at reading about the different species of fish. Kids of all ages should enjoy this attraction.

I have been coming here for years but lately there are more exhibits in the tanks than fish. I love that the kids have a place in natchitoches to go but wish they would have more to look at.
