This is a lovely place to visit with a great history. The home tour was short, but all inclusive in the price of the gardens. I could not tour the gardens as it is not handicapped friendly for a walker as the paths are graveled. The café was delicious. The prices are a little high, but worth it for the... More

Interesting tour of the 'mansion' and self-guided walk through the gardens. We enjoyed seeing the short film about the history of the home and its owners. This was a delightful couple of hours. Had lunch at Cafe Jefferson -- LOVED the food.

Our group traveled here in September. Enjoyed dinner in the adjacent coffee, a stroll through the gardens, and a tour of the home. A great place for leisure travels.

Love this place for lunch or special celebrations. The flowers and peacocks are always gorgeous, and the staff is great. We had a birthday celebration for my MIL here, and everything went better than we planned. Perfect place.

We were in New Iberia visiting my boyfriend's family and took a few hours to explore Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. The space is charming, was never a plantation, and full of Asian inspiration. We walked the grounds, took the house tour, then visited the gift shop. I totally understand why this place is #1 on... We went to Rip Van Winkle Gardens and Cafe on Saturday, 09/23/16. We did not get to walk through the gardens on this visit, but we did eat at the cafe. We requested to sit outside and the view absolutely beautiful! There is a good selection of menu items and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to visiting Rip... More

Interesting, fun, charming, and beautiful. I think the guide's name was Maddie. She was great. Definitely take the tour and watch the video.

My wife and I paid a wonderful visit to this locale. The home and gardens were beautiful. Everything was well maintained and the staff was intelligent, professional and friendly. The tour guide at the home was especially good, lending a theatrical flair to her presentation. The cafe served us a delicious meal including chicken and sausage gumbo, eggplant Michelle and...
