Learned a lot about the history of the area as well as how rice got started as a commodity item. The old mill has been in operation since 1912 and is still growing strong today. The store has lots of food and seasoning selections as...More

After we toured the rice mill, we went into the store to do some shopping. I love creole seasoning, so I bought some of the store's version of creole seasoning. It was wonderful. I also bought some Cajun sauce that you can only buy in...More

If you like old time stuff, you'll enjoy this visit. Take the our..... It's not fancy or special, but it is interesting. Everything is manual....it's on the historic register. Such beautiful old wood and old manual machines. Plus, pretty kitties in the old mill!

We saw the store selling typical tourist junk along with their products. I would not come just to see the store. I didn't feel like it was worth the time. If we had realized there was a tour it would have been better.

Some authentic items, none apparently processed at the rice mill, some possibly packaged there nut not sure. Worth an hour in conjunction with the short 20 minute tour.
