Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

We only saw a portion of the gardens due to heat and time constraints They do have free shuttles to get you to and fro within the gardens. Small cafe on the grounds. Entry fee is expensive in my opinion, but probably worth it if...More

These gardens are beautiful, and the entire facility is wheelchair-friendly. Our 9-year-old grandson even found plenty to enjoy.

This botanical garden although small is fabulous with surprises around every corner. Beautiful water features and children's area, picnic tables and shelter from the sun. Flowers are simply beautiful and all four of us gave this place 5 stars.

We spent five and half hours at these gardens most of the time spent in the kids garden, sensory garden and fairy village. My kids didn't want to leave. They are four and eight. The frog Pond and tree house was a huge hit.

You can arrive in Boothbay Harbor but you would need to pass under a fixed bridge to get to the Gardens. It is tidal water so the clearance under the bridge varies. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call... More

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to avoid crowds but special attractions and guests are most often on weekends. It's really a large area so there should not be much crowding other than the ticket line and delightful restaurant.
