We visited Pemaquid Point Lighthouse on a cool, rainy Saturday morning in early May. Despite the weather and the early season, the museum was open! Many things are still closed until mid to late May, so we were pleasantly surprised. There is a lot of fascinating information on the history of the lighthouse, the fishing and lobster industry, and lighthouse... More

Lovely spot on the rocky coast of Maine. The lighthouse is an added bonus and is quite photogenic! You could spend an hour or a whole day here enjoying the scenery.

This park and lighthouse were more than stunning! If you have the chance to go here, it's a must see!! Pictures don't give it justice for just how beautiful it is there. There's benches and picnic benches scattered around for people to sit, or bring your own chairs to enjoy the view! We went in the off season, so the... More

The Maine Coast is filled with lighthouses and this one is no exception. The photo above does not do it justice it is gorgeous and has a jetty jutting out into the sea which is truly beautiful. The only thing I don't like about this one is that the house is to big and obscures the beauty of the lighthouse... More

Pemaquid Point is so perfectly picturesque, especially if you take a walk on the rocky shoreline and look back up at the lighthouse. Quintessential Maine beauty. The view really says it all. A must see.

I have seen weddings here, sat on the rocks in the dark here, sketched here, thought about life here and felt the pull of Bristol's history here. Pure heaven for anyone who knows the power of waves on the ocean.

This must be one of the most picturesque lighthouses in Maine, because it was chosen to grace the Maine quarter and because of the famous 1929 watercolor of it by Edward Hopper. Before you go, check the Bristol parks website for seasonal hours and admission.

This was our last stop on a photography workshop after spending 5 days at Acadia National Park. And what a grand finale! I could easily have spent another hour here. We were here for almost two hours and into the dark before finally leaving. What's great about this particular lighthouse is the closeness you have to it and the sea... More

If you can climb out onto the rocks down below the lighthouse prepare for some of the most stunningly beautiful natural scenery you will see-a photographers dream. The view of the lighthouse from the rocks is gorgeous, as are the waves crashing on the rocks. Even better if it's a tiny bit stormy! The lighthouse itself is very interesting and... More
