This is one historic temple in kaloor of Ernakulam town.
The main deity here is lord Siva with goddess Parvathi.
It is very well maintained and is full of divine powers.
The premises is huge and is totally peaceful and spiritually powered.
One can experience the divine powers of the temple on entering the main shrine.
When you stand in front of Lord Siva you will feel as if you are charged with positive energy. Your mind becomes very calm. You will have a sense of fulfilment within yourselves.

The temple is near Kaloor Bus stand and on route to Elamakkara. It's one of oldest temple in the city where Lord Shiva and Parvathy is worshiped.

Car parking facilities are there. Recently renvoted pathways and gopurams. Very silent and pious atmosphere. Best time : evenings.

I am lucky enough to visit this place from childhood.

Pavakkulam temple is situated in Kaloor. You will have to take the elamakkara route to enter the temple. There is ample car parking facility in the temple.
Very pious and systematic approach is followed in the temple. One of the very few temples with Parvathy Devi nada opened on all days.
Good place of worship.

When I visited the coachin I visit this historical temple. This old heritage temple in kaloor makes you feel divine powers by offering prayers in full swing with old traditional rules. That's why we have to go temple regularly.

The temple wore a non descript look a few years back but suddenly came to life by 2005 or so. It has become rich and noisy but I still love the old silent version which I was more familiar with. The temple has Lord Shiva as the main deity with Goddess Parvathy, Ganesh, Subrahmania, Chamundi and Nagaraj as the sub deities. Unlike many temples in Kerala, there is no stict dress code here. Recently they have added a Dakshinamoorthy idol on the side of the main sanctum sanctorum. The temple after it became finacially well off, has started daily Annadana. The temple management conducts various special functions and pilgrimages periodically. The temple premises has a shop selling souvenirs, books and music CDs. The Ponkala here has aquired a certain amount of reputation and the Ponkala queue generally crosses Kaloor junction in all the three directions.
