Parks has ton os trails. We did the Ocean Lookout trail - about 1.3 miles each way. Very steep and uneven. View at the end worth the effort. Not for people with mobility constraints.

Spent a half day hiking the state park and was able to summit and get some amazing views of the harbor of Camden from above. Hike is moderate and rocky so make sure you have water and good shoes. It was great exercise but it...More

I’ve been tent camping here my whole life, and it is still the cleanest, most orderly, peaceful campground I’ve ever encountered. (Mostly) clean bath houses, hot showers, clean campsites a good distance from one another. Quiet hours strictly enforced, either by the wardens or by...More

Hi Rosamindy, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. Our Night Rangers occasionally need to remind campers about quiet hours from 10pm -7am.... That's all that is usually needed.

Worth a drive to the top to see the view. Our father was with us and couldn’t hike so we drove to the top. Was also great for our young children who really enjoyed the climbing the tower. Beautiful!

Someone in Boothbay Harbor suggested we stop at this park on our way to Bar Harbor. Let me just say, this was the best suggestion ever! It was so gorgeous looking down on the beautiful, quaint town of Camden, Me. My husband climbed to the...More

The drive up to Mount Battie is a no-brainer activity. It's a beautiful view and easily accessible for everyone. The kids (tweens/teens) were bored after 5 minutes, but the adults loved the view. My aging parents saw everything easily. And climbed the spiral staircase into...More

Finding the trailhead for Maiden Cliff was a little tricky. After 3 passes by the parking area, we finally found it. There are no services at the trail. I recommend going to the bathroom and filling your water bottle in town. The trailhead did not...More

Maiden Cliff Trails and the parking for those trails are not part of Camden Hills State Park. As ksmMissouri states water and toilet facilities are not available at this location and finding the parking area can be a little tricky. This area is managed by...More

This is a very picturesque state park with multiple hiking trails. The trails are well marked. Views are worth the climb.

We drove to the top with a large family group. Best way to get an awesome view of the harbor and coast. Plenty of hiking trails so you have lots of options depending on your desire for exercise! Make sure you put the actual park...More

Thank you for taking the time to offer your comments . I had contacted Google Maps about the wrong location for the park's main entrance at least 5 years ago and had thought the issue was resolved. I'll start the process again and contact Google...More

Yes. The grades are steep buy brief. There's plenty of parking at the summit and the road loops around to the exit.

The road to the summit of Mt. Battie is only 1.5 miles long. There are 25 miles of hiking trails in this 6,200 acre park.
