The climb up we did was a rocky trail, which are the most fun! Well worth the view at the top and plenty of room to just relax on the rocks and enjoy the panoramic views.

We drove up to the top but you can walk, not far. The view from the top is truly amazing you can see right across Penobscot Bay to other islands as well as the delightful town of Camden.

A perfect spot to spend the night after climbing Mount Battie and spending some time in Camden. My teens found tons of activities to keep them busy.

Hiking mid-week in November will almost always assure a quiet hike! We only saw one other hiker all day! The park entrance ranger was very helpful. Views were spectacular and the hike itself was moderate without too many extreme trail sections to scramble. 6+ miles...More
