Just a short drive outside of Camden and after our sail we went up and gives you a beautiful view of the town and harbor. Well worth doing.

Found this park on Trip Advisor during our stay in the Rockport/Camden area. We decided to pack a lunch and have a picnic during our visit. I recommend eating in the section of the park by the coastline - not the mountain side. There are...More

We recently did the hike up  Mt. Megunticook in the Camden Hills State Park. This was a moderate level hike that was worth every huff and puff. The descriptions and time estimates, an hour up and down were quite acurate. The trail was challenging enough...More

Does not take long to drive up to the fantastic views. Many camp and hike this as well, but there are options to drive too. The cost is $4 for a vehicle to drive up, there are many vantage points and great places for photo...More

Located steps from Camden center, the park is well shaded and a nice place to have a quiet take out lunch. There are also clean bathrooms . Across the street is the entrance to Mt. Battie for a minimal charge drive to the top.

We came with a school group and the kids had a ball. There are fields for frisbee and games like tug of war. There are plenty of bathroom facilities. You can clime to the top of Mount Battie. What a great park!

My friends wanted me to see the view of Camden from the state park. It was sooo amazing! What a view. It was about $25.00 for the whole van of us. Just so beautiful!

We were staying nearby, and decided to take the trails to Ocean Lookout, just below the Megunticook Mountain summit. We parked at the second area and started out on Tablelands Trail, rated "easy" and "moderate". After the first few tenths of a mile, we were...More

Our tent site was private and quite level but the same is not true of all sites. Fellow campers were quiet. Great hot water and showers, very clean bathrooms, extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Noisy owls did serenade us but we considered it a lovely...More

I asked the rangers at the ranger station which trail would be the least travelled. I wanted to avoid the throngs. I said something maybe a couple miles long. The ranger suggested the Cameron Mtn trail. I embarked from the back parking lot just outside...More

Hi, It's an easy ride to town - 1.5 miles to the far end of town along Route 1 with fairly wide paved shoulders. A sidewalk is available too, but I believe bicyclists should use the shoulder instead. Another positive, it's... More
