View to Bar Harbor on a clear day. At least to the peaks and islands of Northern Maine. Spectacular views abound. Great for hiking and walking.

We visited in September and the views so so beautiful. The tower was interesting. Camden is a cute little town. We enjoyed our tour of the Maine coast and would recommend it.

Must do if visiting Camden. If nothing else, you can drive up[ easy drive] to the Mount Battie overlook. Amazing views.[ There is a $6 per person charge]. My wife and I did 2 hiking trails- Megunticook Trail and Bald Rock Trail. Would rate as...More

Last month (September 2017) we hiked up Mt. Megunticook in the Camden Hills State Park. This was a moderate level hike that was worth every huff and puff. The descriptions and time estimates, an hour up and an hour down, were quite accurate. The trail...More

Hi 77joanw, I'm glad you had good weather for your visit. This has been a good year for good weather. Our fees are entrance fees rather than parking fees. Fees are per person with discounts for those 65 years of age or more.

Drive, bike, or hike, but enjoy incredible views from water level to mountain level. There is a small fee. Views are worth the price. Take time to enjoy serene space. Breathe!

The view from Mt. Battie was great. We were able to drive clear to the summit and did not need to walk.

We were charged $60 for an RV spot, no trees in our assigned area, just a bare spot. I have never been happier to have shower shoes! The shower floors were actually rusted, the walls were slimy, the water was tepid.More

Hello Dinamo711, I'm so sorry that you didn't enjoy your camping visit here. We have campsites available in the field and in the woods. Some people prefer sun, others shade in the woods, there's almost always a good selection of campsites to choose from. Park...More

We camped (tent) for three nights in Camden State Park. We requested a grassy site with a little sun. It proved to be a bit public since it was close to the entrance of the park and everyone entering that section of the campground drove...More

Hi Janet D. Thank you for taking the time to offer your comments. Here's what I know about our water: The water is regularly tested in an approved State of Maine lab and consistently passes what is a pretty strict regimen. The well here draws...More

Hi, It's an easy ride to town - 1.5 miles to the far end of town along Route 1 with fairly wide paved shoulders. A sidewalk is available too, but I believe bicyclists should use the shoulder instead. Another positive, it's... More
