The campground itself is exactly what you'd expect for a state park. Private sites, privacy, bathhouse, etc. The bonus is obviously the Mt. Battie viewing area, but even better is the fact you can ride your bicycles into town via a paved sidewalk. It's is...More

Nice state park, not too crowded the day we were there (although it was raining a bit). We walked the Tablelands Trail, which was very nice...some dirt paths, some rocky areas. Very quiet and pretty.

Not a hard hike but well worth the view at the top. Go early as it can get crowded both on the trail and at the top. Most people drive but this is a great way to excercise the kids for a few hours. Bring...More

$6 per person It was very nice to ride the car to the top. As we arrived the fog started to come in. We saw the Camden Harbor for a few minutes. It was cool watching the fog take over the hills. Some people were...More

We only visited mount Battie. I wish they had a different price for driving up the mountains. Price seems steep to just drive up to see a view but it was a nice view. We had been hiking all week and earlier in the day...More

The views from Camden Hills State Park were amazing. We enjoyed the hike up to the top of Mount Battie and then climbed down and climbed up Mount Megenticook.

so fortunate to have 5 beautiful days in Maine. We visited the summit for amazing views of the bay. Well worth the $6 for the car load. basic outhouse, no other amenities - if the weather permits, well worth a picnic with this view.

We stayed from July 31-Aug 4. Most camping spots are on dirt/gravel that are very flat. Because of ticks, I prefer this. Campsite was clean and raked upon arrival. Camp staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We camped in a tent. You can buy a...More
