Very nice scenery, without the busy traffic in town Camden. Don't bring the pets. Unfortunately we found the construction job on Hwy 52 but the lake itself is a very beautiful setting. Clean well kept up and appealing to the eyes.

We are visiting some friends for a few days and staying at a vacation rental on the lake. There are no words to describe the beauty all around. The peace and quiet alone are invaluable. We kayaked a little on the lake yesterday but we...More

We engaged in several drives as the weather was not conducive for outdoor activities. This was lovely. We did not stop for Fernand's Neck; that was the plan, but the rain started again.

We took a sneak peak of the lake from one of the sandy shores and then decided to enjoy the view from the top. The walk up the Maiden Cliff Hill is by itself a pleasant activity. It's a rather easy 45 mn uphill hike,...More

I took the hike on the Maiden Cliff trail to get the view of the lake in the picture. It is a mile to the top. The first half is steep but then it gets more level. It is definitely worth the effort as the...More

Typical Maine lake with a host of islands and inlets makes for great summer or winter activity. Two good boat launches and one public swimming area. There are many areas to swim and picnic around the lake. Most native Maine fish species can be caught...More

We love this spot because of the natural beauty, the kids love it because of the warm(ish) water and the dock they can swim out to. Great on a hot summer day, but also lots of hiking for when it's not warm enough to swim.

A great Maine lake to spend some free time or vacation on. This lake offers all-season recreational options. It can be a bit busy during summer weekends, but it's not over-crowded. Check it out and have some fun!

Scenic mountain lake with clean clear water suitable for boating, kayaking, or swimming (in warmer months). Free access from public boat ramp at the south end off of route 52 (Mountain Road). Be aware that it can become quite windy with little warning even on...More

The beach area is decent but no sand. The bottom is soft and muddy so you don't have to worry about walking on loose rocks. Not my first choice in beaches but a good area for beginner swimmers. Beautiful mountain views and wildlife.
