This is a historic park right on Castine Harbour. It has earthen fortifications, an artillery cannon, and the US flag flying proudly. Nice spot to learn about Castine's early military history and have a picnic lunch.

This is just an outdoor park but has become a tradition on our visits. Run around with the kids, sit on the cannons, have a picnic (but bring the bug spray)

Almost always cool and breezy, fantastic views, picnic bench and places to sit to enjoy the view, step access to small beach, historic cannon and burms, beautiful scenic harbor. Best place in Castine to enjoy the view.

We attended a wedding held at this park. The view, the blue skies and clouds and the surrounding historical houses make it a splendid location to relax and spend a bit of time.

No, it's pretty much just open grass area with a great view. Nice for picnicking but not much else.
