There is a terrific exhibit right now "Castine's Devoted Women, about two Castine women who were life long partners, suffragettes, social reformers, and important political activist. Very interesting and worth the time. Also a fine exhibit about the battles for Castine.

Sponsoring the visit of the replica of Lafayette's ship, the French frigate "Hermione," this small society did an outstanding job. Many events and exhibitions added to the actual ship visit, amazing in itself.

The exhibits focus on Castine's seafaring history and should not be missed. Of particular interest was information about the the French ship Herminone.

Enjoyed seeing a nicely done video that explains the history of Fort George. New exhibit showcases the 1779 battle between the British and the Colonists for Fort George. Well done!
