If fresh food is your objective then this farmers market has it. Bread, cheese, pies, cookies, and produce (at least 3 vendors). Then there's wool, oysters, mussels, mushrooms, and Chinese. Frozen organic meats & a great location in Damariscotta.

If you want fresh foods this is the place. From farmer to you fresh. Not a large selection in the spring but as summer comes there is more to choose from. It's located in the field next to an old farm house owned by Damariscotta River Association on Belvedere Rd. It's a bit from town and a nice place to... More

October 11-13th, 2014: We went to the pumpkin fest as a side trip to Maine. It was AWESOME. Lots to see and do, everyone was very friendly. We were only able to be there for 1 day to see the pumkin hurling and the shooting of 10 inch pumpkins out of a cannon, which totally destroyed a donated vehicle. Amazing what... More

We have stopped here a few times and have always enjoyed the choice of cheeses locally made. The vendors have great knowledge of their products and are happy to share.....Do not forget the sheep dog, who belongs to the knitter and weaver!!

We went to the market on the last weekend in August and there were still many sellers of gorgeous veggies. All kinds of vegetables that can grow in Maine. Lots of heirloom tomatoes, greens, onions, carrots.... We bought from almost everyone. There are several sellers of goat cheeses - which are great, a person who raises oysters and mussels in... Friday morning market is the best - on Belvedere - Monday afternoon market located at the Rising Tide (my favorite cooperative market) parking lot is smaller but still worth checking out if you are in town. Great for baked goods, fresh/local veggies, and check out your cheese options (at least two vendors to choose from). The goat cheese with basil... More
