Ten of us went on this train ride and we all enjoyed very much. The volunteers who staff the train go out of their way to make it fun and interesting. We sat outdoors in an open car but there are enclosed cars as well....More

September in MDI, our yearly Acadia visit. Always looking for something a four year old would like and this was a BIG hit! Very reasonably priced and the two year old rode free. The over an hour and a half ride was fun and educational....More

We were traveling with a four year old train lover. The 90 minute trip was just right. The volunteers running the train were helpful and informative. If you are interested in hearing the tour and history information I suggest you sit near a speaker. We...More

I am certain your kid's would love this. As two adults - it was not a thrill seeking event but it was a nice ride on a truly historic train. The people working are all volunteers and take their jobs both seriously and with great...More

Run by the preservation society. NOT all that scenic although it is cute when you "get to punch your own ticket". Old historic cars...maybe interesting for the RR buff.

I am truly a Railroad fanatic and couldn't wait to take a "scenic ride". The "only" good point of the entire day for me was that I could climb up into the engine and actually blow the whistle,...I'm still a kid at heart! But the...More

Very disappointed. We spent more time moving engines and turning around then actually moving. We saw some of Ellsworth like the high school and a few birds nests. Seats were comfortable and staff were very friendly.
