Drove by the entrance say the sign and was interested to see what was behind the gates. When I drive down the driveway and say the open air Chapel and the walkways that lead to a path through the wooded area to a view of the water. They also have a Guest House connected to the property but the lodging... More

Stopped by specifically to visit gift shop for a crucifix for a friend. Very friendly volunteer working there, and he was so helpful. This shop had exactly what I was looking for. Enjoyed the surrounding woods and paths and structures. Lovely nativity scene in one area. Nice place to slow down and meditate.

the hotel recommended this as a place to visit for a nice walk on the trails. It was unique, and beautiful, and obviously spiritual with many religious statues, monuments along the way. About 1-2 miles worth of trails along the water and in the woods. Easy hike for all ages on trails. Can't get lost, all trails lead you back... More

Maybe the Monastery wants it this way, but the gift shop was very hard to find! The grounds are beautiful, though and it was very peaceful.

This was interesting to see, but self guided so we walked the grounds, inside & were ready to go within 1 1/2 hrs.

Who would have imagined that a group of Lithuanian monks, escaping Stalin, would ended up in Kennebunkport? Interesting monastery with unusual indoor chapel I am Catholic and have visited many churches and chapels in my travels, and this is one of the more unusual in an odd way. I found it interesting. Outdoors, there is a walking path which leads... More

Sometimes the Kennebunks can be just a little too bustling, even in the shoulder season. A long walk through the grounds at St. Anthony's will restore you in more ways than one. Although it is a house of faith, and does have a guest house, all are welcome to walk the grounds and gardens. Other visitors will respect your space,... More

We walked the paths on a lovely fall day. Noone else was there so we were able to walk and reflect in quiet solitude. We walked to the two outside chapels and went into the inside chapel.

We had not stopped here previously. It is a monastery that now offers a bunk house or bed and breakfast retreat. The grounds include an outdoor chapel and several other large sculptures. There are hiking trails and a gift shop.
