This iconic building which is located on Historic Summer Street in Kennebunk has been allowed to deteriorate badly. The building and the fantastic carved wood fenestration need immediate attention before the whole thing is lost. It is unfortunate because this is one of the most recognizable buildings in the United States and is a beacon for photographers coming to the... More

You have to see it to believe it. Off the beaten path this house is so beautiful. Worth stopping to see.

We were unable to visit the day we came, but we could see that the house is in bad shape and needs renovations ASAP.

Wasn't able to tour the house, but the outside (which is really what I wanted to see) was something out of a fairy tale! Move over Cinderella's castle. No wonder it took ten years to build...the craftsmanship is exquisite!

This house has clearly seen better days as postcards we saw in town showed it with a fresh bright yellow coat of paint and crisp white trims and fretwork and manicured gardens which were nowhere to be found on this aged beauty when we saw it! Despite showing wear, it is really a stunner and you can’t help but stop... More

We just drove by on a tour bus and stopped for a few minutes of narration by the tour guide. Cute but I'm not an architectural buff so I would not have gone out of my way to see.

This I would have like to seen inside but we only could drive by and park on other side or walk by. Still interesting to learn about history

We happened to drive by and it caught our eye. I only wish we had been aware of it in advanced and planned to get inside. After driving by we googled for it and read the interesting story. It is purportedly the most photographed house in Maine and /i have no doubt. It stands apart from the gorgeous yet somewhat... More

I was trying to find how can we get inside and if there is a possibility to get inside, but I could not find any information about it. So we could not get in the Wedding Cake house, but from outside its really nice! We were not the only people who just made some photoes and passed away others also... More
