Your not going to a zoo. Nothing like a zoo, it's better. The walkway is dirt and a little uneven to come with decent shoes on. Bob and Julie Miner are doing an outstanding job at their animal safe zone. These folks need the public...More

I've been here many times and I'm impressed by the constant improvement. The animals appear content and obviously well loved and well cared for. A great place for a family outing, educational and very interesting.

It was good to see this place as a refuge and family for the animals there. $2.75 was a bit to much for an ice dream cone to feed the bears was a bit much as I had to buy three. But over all this...More

Great place for kids and family's. Bob and family do a wonderful job protecting and educating on the animals and what the DEW is all about.

This is a wonderful animal sanctuary in Mount Vetnon Maine. It's a hidden gem. The grounds and animal enclosures are very well maintained and clean. It is obvious they truly care about the animals they have rescued and care for. The tour was very educational...More

If I am remembering correctly, they are closed on Mondays but open every other day. Check out their website though as I know it is listed there.
