We visited in September while the remnants of Hurricane Jose gave the coastal areas some serious surf. It was awesome! Huge waves, fairly warm and watching the local surfers enjoy some rare large waves.

Ogunquit beach is beautiful. The sand is clean and this is a very big beach. Dogs are not allowed. This beach is good for kite flying and families.

Beautiful white sand, clean water and spectacular waves. Definitely bring a boogie board to ride the waves-it's so much fun. A section of the beach below the parking lot gets lost during high tide so if you are planning to be there during high tide...More

Great anytime, but, I love low tide. Good waves for bogey boarding. Great family beach. Expansive at low tide. Quiet walks in the morning.

Huge changes in tides! Great shallow pools of water to play in for kids. If you prefer a little quiet, walk a little further along the shore. Plenty of room, even at high tide!

If you get into the main lot it really depends if you want to sit on the ocean side beach North end or the river side beach south end. We like to park on the ocean side and if possible the first row. I say the first row... More

I only used the restroom at the beach and did not notice any area to shower.
