If you're passing by on US Rte. 95 in Maine, Old Orchard is worth a few hours as a side trip but I would not make it a destination. Most of the motels are older tho clean enough and most have a pool, even those...More

We had a great experience in the hotel, the beach was lovely, but for food we went to Kennebunkport and Portland. Will review there.

Took our son on a day trip to OOB! Beach was so clean. Lifeguards were on point. The ocean was freezing but worth every single grain of sand we dragged home

Loved Old Orchard Beach, even this late in season many places are closed but the natural beauty of the area prevails.

What could be better than a beach and boardwalk all together? Great family fun to be had by all! Various places to eat, drink, and shop on the boardwalk and many activities for the entire family.

Yes, you may before 10AM and after 5PM. 10-5 are the busy times on the beach so there are way too many people to make it enjoyable for either you or the pup. You'll need a leash for the pup. There's also the Eastern Trail... More

Usually the water temp is mid-upper 60's by end of July. It's upper 40's at end of May. Tops out in the low 70's by end of August. It's never truly warm. Maybe 73F if it's been a hot summer. It's never truly warm.
