The beaches are disgusting - filled with trash and random drunken tourists. This town/beach appears to cater to a crowd of rowdy French Canadians. Lots of drinking, smoking. Town is dirty and run down. Not a good place for families.

Beautiful 7 mile long clean beach. People very friendly. Water was warmer then I expected. Is our first visit. Will be back.

If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is not the place. If you're looking for a non-stop summer party, this is definitely the place.

Nice beach with plenty of shops and food. Biggest drawback that could keep us away is no public restrooms/bathhouses. Only 2 near where we were an you have to pay 50 cents to use them. Never experienced that and with all the other beaches along...More

I haven't been here in a couple decades and decided to visit with my teen girls. We didn't stay long but the girls were really thrilled with the place. It has an old school feel to it that shouldn't be missed!

Had so much fun walking around never a let down even if the weather isn't up to par! We love the arcade and the stores!

Yes, you may before 10AM and after 5PM. 10-5 are the busy times on the beach so there are way too many people to make it enjoyable for either you or the pup. You'll need a leash for the pup. There's also the Eastern Trail... More

Usually the water temp is mid-upper 60's by end of July. It's upper 40's at end of May. Tops out in the low 70's by end of August. It's never truly warm. Maybe 73F if it's been a hot summer. It's never truly warm.

There are quite a few right on the beach and directly across the street (30 steps). It really depends on how much you want to spend and what you want. I booked the Copley LaReine Motel this year. It has fantastic views... More
