Most places are closed, but great for letting kids pick up some huge clam and oyster shells and maybe grabbing a delicious hand made ice cream (the best) on a sunny day!

Not your average pier where you are walking around outside and get to look at the ocean. It's all indoors. There are tons of fun things to do inside.

I have been to the pier many, many times. Each time I get more disappointed by the pier (not the surrounding area). It's become so commercial - big advertising banners on the side (I'm not sure who allowed this). The area is still a must...More

I had a wonderful time on the pier, great for photographing and lots to do. The pier it's self features many small shops and food. There's a pub/restaurant at the end of the pier, you can sit on the patio, several hundred feet out from...More

This is a must see if you are in the area. Surrounded by miles of beach, beautiful sunrises and sunset.

Great food and drinks on the Pier. Many restaurants to choose from. We chose the one at the end of the Pier over the ocean. It's pretty cool to have the ocean underneath you as you dine.

When does everything start to close for the season? My family and I would be looking to come up on vacation around the end of August and the begining of September.

End of August is a wonderful time to visit. After Labor Day, the amusement park has limited hours. Most eateries are open until after Columbus Day.

There are many places to park on the street that turn over quickly and there are many parking lots priced only $5 or $10 for the day close to the beach. I lived in OOB for 13 years and I never paid to park.

Does anyone know of a place in the OOB area where I can get an acai bowl? (Preferably somewhere within walking distance of the boardwalk) Thank you!

Had to look up what an acai bowl is. Looks delicious. Did not see any on menus where we ate in OOB. Good luck in your search.
