Not much to see, no public washrooms (except the ghastly portable toilets that I can't really describe). The restaurants were ok, with reasonable prices for seafood.

The Old Port is a area filled with whatever you are looking for in the city.It is a renewed older area of town. Many quaint and unique shops and so much more. Cruise ships in the warmer season will drop 100s of tourists off here...More

If you are in Portland, you should take a few hours to explore Old Port. It's a neat area with lots to see and do. It is lined up with great restaurants, shops, etc! Portland is the most beautiful city!

Good place to visit and nice atomosphere. Smaller from Savannah. More compacted. Too many cars and need extra time to find Parking. Be prepared.

Although it is real early in the season and most of the go to places have not yet started their season. We find this gem. Although a little noisy, in a good way, the decor is old and somewhat rugged. You can feel the love....More

The Portland waterfront is a charming and bustling quintessential New England seaport. Great for walking. Lots of shops and restaurants. It's cold in the winter though.

This our favorite Maine destination when staying in state but looking for a short get away. We have a teen daughter who is 15-16 and as long as it’s not a holiday (when the shops tend to be closed, except bars)- this is her choice...More

I walked a few blocks from our hotel to the port to take a look around. There was fresh snow on the ground and most of the boat slips were frozen. It was a beautiful landscape, and very enjoyable.

Great area for strolling, eating, window shopping, shopping. All are close by. We walked from the old Port to the Children’s Museum. Another day we walked from Old Poet to the Railroad Museum. We also took a bus to South Portland. It’s a walkable area.
