Always a memorable experience

This is one of the more advertised and highly rated restaurant in the area. If you accept this you must also accept - high noise level, inconsistent service, and some arrogance during summer reservation season. There is an excellent wine list, good basic menu times like the pork on spit (only if you like it not well done), and interesting... More

We've been coming here for years. It's a consistently delicious meal with a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. We only sit at the bar (they have their own wait list for dinner) so I can't speak about the dining room, although it looks nice. On our last visit, the food was painfully slow to come out, but I can't even deduct a... More

We've been here before when visiting Portland. On our last visit the meal and service was excellent so you know we were going to return. Service and quality of food is as good as ever. Our server Dixon was very attentive to our needs. He was most helpful fillet my wife's whole bass at the table. Dixon has a great... More

The restaurant itself is great; former warehouse-the space is very different. The food is average for the price. The menu is set up in a way that one can peruse through many different grilled options of seafood or meats. Our server was very average- not much personality and did not care much about our selections, provide guidance and deliver service... More

My husband was given a generous gift card to Fore Street as a retirement present. We had heard wonderful reviews of Fore Street and looked forward to going. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service were outstanding. The steaks we ordered were cooked just the way we requested and there were variety of sides to choose from (the... More

We had a fantastic meal! Wood fired seafood and meats created a great atmosphere on a snowy evening. Everything was cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients.

This is a great place to walk and explore any time of year. There are so many places to eat that you just can't count them all. There are boutique-y shops, craft beer shops and bars and a plethora of cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Good spot for families to walk and explore.

I would say the best part of Fore Street is the atmosphere. Really cool restaurant. When you walk in, it has the distinct smell of a wood burning fire from the brick oven you can see in the open kitchen. The kitchen is basically part of the large dining room, which is pretty neat. I had the roasted half chicken,... More

Great fresh beer. I recommend the Belgian Table beer Primus. Nice and light. You can buy and take home in cans much fresher. Creative menu with some great choices. Highly recommend visiting.

The atmosphere in Fore Street is second to none. Appetizers on the couch and the open grill were so much fun. Our waiters/waitresses were so friendly. Such a nice place to be on a cold winter night. The fish and chicken were so good, second only to the fresh bread from downstairs!
