I highly recommend a day trip to peaks island. One of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. Very quick and easy to get to by ferry and lots to do once you’re over there.

What could be better than sitting on the sunshine on the deck of a ship that's also delivering goods to beautiful islands? A friend suggested we do this, and it was three hours of bliss!

Take the Casco Bay Lines ferry to all the different islands, or check time for the mail drop ferry. It stops at, I believe 7 different islands, unloading and picking up cargo, cars, etc. Check my pic, for the smallest working lighthouse. The ferry is...More

There are several hospitals in the area, all of them within 3 miles of the Casco Bay Lines. From I-295 take exit 7 - Franklyn St all the way to the end. There is a parking garage right next to the ferry.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved and leashed. Expect a reasonable surcharge.
