I an always looking to shop at places that have a dual purpose, and this one does not disappoint. I bought an adorable 5 X 7 watercolor from a local artist, and supported the Project Puffin, which dedicates itself to creating and maintaining puffin habitats.

Project Puffin is a small spot of great puffin information. We learned quite a bit about the puffin population & the ways they are trying to protect these beautiful little birds. We enjoyed the live action video as well as all of the reading materials....More

We and our grandchildren (ages 8 and 10) loved the eye-opening film and exhibits at the Puffin Center. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the young staff members on duty were as impressive as the story of how one dedicated scientist established ground-breaking processes for re-colonizing...More

It is much bigger than the space facing the street. The information presented was engaging and interesting to audiences of all ages. It is small, but was veey informative.

After visiting here last year and taking one of their brochures for a puffin cruise from Port Clyde, we returned once again. The puffin photography here is amazing, and the people are very knowledgeable. You will not go wrong if you visit.

This is a tiny place which could do with a little more interactivity and exhibits. The movie could do with an upgrade as well. However, their heart is in the right place and it deserves support.

We stopped in to ask questions and the staff person was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about the Puffins. It was wonderful hearing the history of the puffins and how they have made a comeback in Maine. Great exhibits and would be wonderful for children!

The Project Puffins Center doesn't have live puffins. The puffins nest on offshore islands and can only be seen by boat. There are a number of puffin cruises - we did one from Boothbay Harbor, but there are cruises from... More
