I've loved puffins for decades so this was a natural stop for me. They staff is always very friendly and the center is very informative. It has grown throughout the years and is slowly becoming more interactive.

I an always looking to shop at places that have a dual purpose, and this one does not disappoint. I bought an adorable 5 X 7 watercolor from a local artist, and supported the Project Puffin, which dedicates itself to creating and maintaining puffin habitats.

This institution is the greatest thing on the face of the earth. When my great great grandfather sold his factories and decided to donate the bulk of his fortune to saving the birds my ancestors were absoslutely horrified. Imagine at the turn of the century...More

Puffins are quite beautiful but the tiny Puffin Project visitor center, well not so much. There wasn't much to see or do. We stayed 15 minutes and left. While the center increased by awareness on puffins it appeared to be a way to solicit donations....More

The Project Puffins Center doesn't have live puffins. The puffins nest on offshore islands and can only be seen by boat. There are a number of puffin cruises - we did one from Boothbay Harbor, but there are cruises from... More
