Can't believe that I have lived in Scarborough nearly all my life and just took my first kayak trip on the Marsh. It was so beautiful and relaxing and the staff were gracious. Would definitely do this again.

For over 20+ years we have driven by the Scarborough marsh always commenting on the beauty of the marsh, diverse birds that inhabit it and the spectacular channels mother nature has created. So we decided to rent a few kayaks on beautiful day when the...More

The Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center is small. It has two buildings. One is the main building that has informational material and a small gift shop with T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and more, plus it rents kayaks; the other is an educational center. My visit was on...More

The center provides a great place to take off and/or land with your canoe or kayak. The Scarborough River provides a limited number of places to start or end your marsh paddling trip. If you have two cars you can take off from the Audubon...More

Stop in and discover oodles of things about the tides and varied wildlife that depend on them. Rent a canoe and paddle through the marsh. Be sure to wear sunscreen and bug spray and carry along some water and maybe a snack. Its a delight.

Not fancy but that's in part what makes this little place so special. A small building (aka shack:) right on the shores of the largest salt water marsh in Maine. Canoe and kayak rentals with life vest help from either volunteers or summer interns. You...More

This amazing marsh can be explored by kayaks which can be rented at this Audubon Center, located on the road to the Pine Point Beach. The marsh contains an extensive system of waterways which can be explored at high tide.

I hate to rate an Audubon center this low, but Scarborough Marsh as a place to walk was disappointing. We drove 40 mins down from Brunswick because it's the only Audubon center that allows dogs. It turns out the trail is not ideal - it's...More
