Seeing the directional sign off of US Rt 50, this side trip was well worth the stop. The t8wn seemingly embraces the bad part of its history and want to properly educate all others on its mistakes and heritage. Very pleased to stop here.

Fantastic new museum on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore!! Nice open spaces in a well designed, modern, comfortable space, where the story of the Underground Railroad, and one of its most famous "conductors"- Harriet Tubman, is told using photos, stories, and statues. The story of enslaved souls and the pursuit of freedom for these courageous people is well told and thought... More

I was disappointed in the place. It's very small and seems more focused on selling souvenirs than telling the story of Harriet Tubman. Much better at the new National Park about 12 miles south of town.

My wife and I came here during an afternoon off during a Conference in /Cambridge. While a bit antiquated, some great info to refresh my history on Tubman. I can't say enough for the wonderful gentleman here on Sat afternoon 11 Feb, who patiently answered several questions we had and told us about the driving trail. He clearly has a... More

The museum is not overly large but gives a good overview of Tubman's life and experiences. There is a video that was played by the guide at the site. He was helpful in answering questions and explaining details of Tubman's life as the head of the Underground Railroad. I thought the museum was set up very well and included a... More

Old school exhibition about Harriet TUBMAN and the underground railroad. I learned a lot ! One can see the building needs refurbishing and the museum works on a tight budget. Bit it informs on important albeit unknown American history.

This small but informative museum dedicated to educating both adults and children, and visitors of every race and background...many of whom know little about one of the strongest, most selfless and impressive people in American History--not just among African American woman. Far too many of us know much too little about one of the most fearless and courageous leaders in... More

The museum is pretty small but we liked it. The volunteer was very helpful and friendly. There are some decent videos and several display which were very informative. Not sure I would go far so see it but if you are in Cambridge it is well worthwhile. There was street parking right across the street.

The museum is in a store front on Race St. There is a free public parking lot just beyond the site. The museum is quite small but they have a nice display about Tubman's life along with a video that provides further information. There are also numerous books available to peruse if you have the time.

What a great museum. A bigger museum is almost complete. We had our kids and grand kids along and no matter the age everyone enjoyed it.They show a very interesting film too. Don't miss the new one when it is completed. I think it is going to be amazing.
